Configure an SMTP email server for alerts

Unisphere supports SNMPv1, SNMPv3, and SNMPv3 with TLS notifications.

About this task

To configure an SMTP email server for alerts, complete the following steps:

Steps

  1. Select Settings icon.
  2. Select Security > SMTP Email Server for Alerts.
  3. Type a Server (IP or Hostname) name or address.
  4. Type a Port number.
  5. Type the Sender E-mail Address.
  6. If you want to use StartTLS, complete the following steps:
    1. Select Secure SMTP with StartTSL.
    2. Type a Username.
    3. Type a Password.
    4. Click Choose File.
    5. Select the root CA certificate of the email server, and click Open.
  7. Click Apply.
